This video only relates to Echo Park in that it involves the nation’s President. Well, that and Echo Park does have teachers, schools, and we’re guessing at least one iPad somewhere that is waiting to be put to use in the classroom.

Put it all together, and you get this video–the view from President Obama’s eyes as he records a classroom with an iPad.

President Obama visited Buck Lodge Middle School in Adelphi, Maryland on February 4, 2014. The visit was part of his ConnectED initiative to provide students with greater access to high-speed Internet connections. While visiting with students, President Obama borrowed an iPad from a student who was recording him. – Video Description

The three main pillars of Obama’s ConnectED are:

  1. Upgraded student connectivity through high-speed broadband and Wi-Fi
  2. Professional development to train teachers about how to use technology for positive educational outcomes
  3. To use private-sector innovation as essential tools in the classroom
